Words by Camille Kirksey, Founder of World Homeschooler’s Day
With World Homeschooler’s Day coming coming up on the first Friday of June, here are twelve ideas to help you celebrate in fun yet simple ways.

Plan a party with your family or other homeschooling families
Pizza or Dance parties are always fun!

Have a picnic at the park or beach

Make or buy donuts as a treat
It’s also National Donut Day!

Play board games, watch a movie, or do crafts as a family

Look at pictures and videos of your homeschool adventures over the years

Take pictures of each family member and include a caption on what they like best about homeschooling

Post pictures and/or videos on social media sharing your family’s appreciation for homeschooling

Have a water balloon fight or Nerf gun battle

Go camping and make s’mores
Backyard camping counts, too!

Go to the movies
Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse comes out on June 2

Go to an amusement park

Cook a meal together from a different culture

These ideas are just a start. Xuan from The Homeschool Front has some great ideas on her blog post, too.
